Clearfield Revitalization Corporation recognized among 838 programs nationwide
The Clearfield Revitalization Corporation (CRC) has officially received its 2026 Accredited Main Street America designation, the program’s highest honor. This recognition reflects our community’s ongoing commitment to keeping Clearfield’s downtown vibrant and thriving.
Earning Accredited status takes real work. Programs must show strong performance in six areas: community commitment, inclusive leadership, sustainable funding, strategic programming, preservation-based economic development, and demonstrated results. We are proud to say the CRC met every standard, joining 838 accredited organizations in a nationwide network of over 1,600 communities.
“Clearfield Revitalization Corporation demonstrates a dedication to investing in the people and places that make your downtown district special and contribute to the collective power of the Main Street movement to build vibrant spaces and durable economies.” Erin Barnes, President & CEO, Main Street America
The numbers tell the story
In 2025, Main Street America programs across the country generated $9.4 billion in local reinvestment, created 36,549 net new jobs, and reinvested $23.13 for every $1 spent on operations. It is a good reminder that investing in downtowns makes a real difference.
What we have been up to
The CRC is currently offering a facade grant program for downtown property owners. We have already awarded $15,976.50 in 2026, and $35,000 is still available. If you own property in the Main Street district, we encourage you to reach out and learn more.
We also received two state-level awards from the Pennsylvania Downtown Center in 2025, recognizing the facade renovation of Spanky’s Courthouse Cafe and our Annual Riverfront Festival. We are proud of both of those efforts and grateful to everyone who was part of them.
It takes a village
None of this happens without our board, volunteers, and community members. Every event organized, every business supported, and every hour given makes a difference. I am proud of the work we do together here in Clearfield, and the CRC is glad to be part of leading that effort.
